An Industry of Cool… or not.

So we watch a lot of CNN at work.  A LOT.  Today, normally the day I put it on The History Channel or something, but I left it on CNN to watch the Papal Mass @ Yankee Stadium.

While watching it, I realzed a number of things.  Not only does Pope Benedict XVI look a lot like Emperor Palpatine, but he’s also very likable and comes across as an extremely genuine person.  I had my doubts about how the Catholic community would receive him after John Paul II was so extremely loved and influential, but he seems to have made himself a nice place.

Not being Catholic myself, I could be speaking out of turn, but these are just my thoughts.  I’ve been very impressed with The Holy See’s willingness to take on the molestation scandal that has plagued the church for years.  This, coupled with the fact that he outright seems to enjoy speaking with everyone, and is willing to go to the people, as opposed to them coming to him, has led me to a new found view of the head of the Catholic church.

I know Alex Jones would say I’m only being duped by the worldwide conspiracy of the those wanting to create the NWO, but at this point, I’ll just say I’m impressed with this person that comes across so genuine, and if he truly is genuine, then the world needs more people like him.

So, because I seem to have misplaced one of my 4gb flash drives, I placed a an order for a new 4gb drive, a book, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii - all so I could make use of a $25 coupon.  The drive on it’s own would have only been able $20.

Soon, I think I might order a Macbook Pro.  I’ve been putting it off for a bit, but with some stock shares vesting in June, I think it might be time.  Who knows, maybe we’ll have a 3G iPhone out that I can also buy.

Other than my shopping spree, today is going pretty well.  Emmie was feeling a lot better this mornign than she was last night.  Allergies are rocking her.  I’ll get the results of the blood allergen test on Friday, so maybe we can finally get her on some meds that will keep everything under control.  I’m jsut glad the whole asthma scare seems to be behind us.

Back to work now.  I’ve got many an RSS feed to catch up on…

Well, I’ve had the Wii for a couple of days now, and I am really liking Super Mario Galaxy. I already know of a few games I plan on getting, but does anyone out there have a suggestion for a great game that might be out of the mainstream? There are a bunch of Wii games I know nothing about.

I already plan on getting Zelda, and probably GTA 4 when it is released, but other than that I am at a slight loss. I am sure that Metroid is playable, as is Paper Mario, but I want some hidden gem of a game. Anyone?

So Emmie and I went into Target today to get some random things. While
rolling by the electronics I glanced to my right and BAM! They had a
single Wii in stock. It looked so lonely sitting there with all those
Guitar Hero guitars that I just had to bring it home.

Well, it’s updating right now, which is taking longer than I expected,
but none the less, it’s a nice addition to the new living room.

The site should now be pretty iPhone friendly. Added some formatting for the mobile safari browser. Rock and roll.
